Elenah Kelly

Elenah Godbolt Kelly is a mother, a minister, a wife, a trainer, a motivator, and a great leader among us! Her name in Greek means "shining light" or "light from God." Elenah graduated from 71st High School, earned her B.S. in Nursing from East Carolina University, and achieved a M.A. in Business Management from Webster University. She has been married to Sonny Kelly since 2003 and is the devoted mother of Sterling and Langston. Everyday, she rises up seeking to bear her light - committed to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families in her community, her country and the world. As a member of One Church Covenant Fellowship in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Elenah shines God’s light as a Youth Pastor, a praise and worship singer, event planner, teacher, and preacher. Professionally, Elenah currently serves as the Chief of Integrated Prevention at Pope Army Air Field on Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She serves as a Master Resilience Trainer, specializing in emotional intelligence and healthy communication. She is also a recently retired Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force Reserve, where she served honorably in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Dover, Delaware. She most recently served as the Deputy Commander of the 916th Mission Support Group at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina and is a graduated Squadron Commander. She is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta, Incorporated, Gamma Upsilon Zeta Chapter, where she participates in regular community service and mentoring young ladies to be leaders for the next generation. Elenah is truly a hometown hero, who hails from Fayetteville, NC. She has also shared her light far and wide across the globe! While serving on Active Duty as a Services officer in the United States Air Force for almost seven years, she had the unique opportunity to travel around the world and to work with people of diverse backgrounds, to include mentoring young airmen from all over the country as well as new members of the Armed Forces. During her active duty service, Elenah served at Pope Air Force Base, as well as installations in San Antonio, Texas, Iraq and in Qatar. In 2011, she served as the Site Coordinator of San Antonio’s first Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School, a 6-week summer literacy program which served over 90 minority children and emphasized scholarship and social action. She coordinated all logistics, rallied community support, and managed day- to-day activities, weekly field trips and community partnerships for the site. She supervised 11 servant leader interns and provided motivation, guidance, and constructive feedback, ensuring the successful mentorship and delivery of the Integrated Reading Curriculum. Elenah has also been a professional event planner and homemaker over the years. She has served as a volunteer in Cub Scouts and Cumberland County Schools for over a decade now. Whether she is ministering, leading, teaching, mentoring, singing, or serving Elenah Godbolt Kelly's light shines bright in this world!
